Mississauga, Ont. – The Nissan LEAF has been recognized with the 2025 Canadian Black Book (CBB) Best Residual Value Award in the EV under $55,000 category for the second consecutive year. This year’s awards reconfirmed once again that Electric Passenger Cars continue to consistently outshine their Internal Combustion Engine alternatives when it comes to residual value.

This annual award measures and forecasts residual values four years into the future. In fact, it calculates which vehicles are expected to hold the highest percentage of their original Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after four years of ownership. The 2025 awards cover 16 vehicles and 5 brands across 21 categories.

“Resale value is an important factor that influences customers’ buying decisions. Providing high-quality products that meet Canadian customers’ needs is our priority, and we are proud to receive this Canadian Black Book Best Residual Value Award for the Nissan LEAF,” said Brent Smith, director of Marketing at Nissan Canada Inc.

The 2025 Nissan LEAF is one of the most affordable electric vehicles available today with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price1 (MSRP) of CA$41,748. The Nissan LEAF offers two battery options so customers can select the driving range and configuration that best suits their needs. LEAF SV comes with a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery with an estimated range of up to 240 km, while SV PLUS has a 60-kWh battery and up to 341 km of range2.

Every Nissan LEAF comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield®3, a suite of technologies that includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist. For added driver convenience, LEAF also includes standard ProPILOT Assist4 and Intelligent Around View® Monitor5.
