MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Nissan announced today the promotion of Kristina Herder to the role of director of marketing at Nissan Canada Inc., succeeding Brent Smith, who was recently named director of dealer network development, electrification and corporate strategy.
Herder will report to Steve Rhind, president of Nissan Canada Inc. This appointment is effective December 8, 2025.
As Director of Marketing, Herder will oversee efforts to grow and strengthen the brand’s marketing activities in Canada. Her responsibilities include brand communications, advertising, incentives, chief marketing management, sponsorships and events, including auto shows.
Herder brings over two decades of experience in the automotive industry. She joined Nissan Canada in 2011 as manager of marketing communications for INFINITI Canada. “Kristina’s extensive experience in the automotive industry, combined with her deep understanding of our dealer network, makes her an invaluable asset to Nissan Canada,” said Steve Rhind, president of Nissan Canada Inc. “Her proven leadership across key functions at Nissan, along with her background in managing an automotive account within an advertising agency, position her perfectly to elevate our marketing strategies and drive continued success in strengthening our brand nationwide.”
